How do I change my Home page?

Click on the Home button in the top left of the Ciniki window to return to your main menu. This is the screen you see when you first login to Ciniki. If you are already at your home screen, the screen will not change.

If you are not yet logged into Ciniki, refer to: http://ciniki.com/tutorials for more information on how to log into the Ciniki Manager.

Click on Website.

Click on the Home page.

Having a Home page on your website helps to welcome new visitors. Make sure Yes has been selected. It should be dark grey.

If you don't want a Home page, you can click on No to turn it off.

A. If you would like a slide show of your Art Catalog items, click on Random or Latest.

Random will change the photos each time the page is seen by a visitor. Latest will always show the latest items added to your art catalog.

B. You can also adjust the size, but x-large is recommended.

A. Latest Work will display thumbnails of your last 6 additions to your Art Catalog.

B. If you want something other than Latest Work as the label above the thumbnail, you can change it here.

C. Random work will display thumbnails of 6 random items from your Art Catalog. Each time a visitor views your Home page it will be a different list.

D. If you want a different label than Latest Work, you can change it here.

A. Display upcoming events will show your current and upcoming events.

B. If you would like the title above the event list to be something other than Upcoming Events, you can change it here, eg: "Upcoming Shows", "My Events".

C. If you have more than 2 upcoming events, ciniki will add "... more events" after the list so visitors can see the full list of upcoming events. You can change the description to whatever you want, eg: "... more shows", "more of my events".

D. Ciniki will show your next 2 events, or you can change this to show more or less.

A. (optional) If you would like a photo on your Home page, click on Add Photo.

B. (optional) The caption will appear below the photo.

C. (optional) This is an advanced option to link the photo to another page or site. If you copy a URL in here visitors to your website can click on the photo and be taken to the link. It is recommended to leave this blank.

A. (optional) The title will appear above the welcome message. A good recommendation is to have Welcome as the title.

B. (optional) The home page Welcome Message. This should be a paragraph or two about you and your website.

Save your work.

Click on Preview to view your changes.

After reviewing your changes, click on Back.
